After hours calls are managed by a triage service staffed with nurses. The nurses will attempt to manage the issue. After hours calls are for emergencies only. They are not to be used for medication refills. Medication refills will ONLY be managed by the office staff during regular business hours. No restricted substances will be refilled after hours or on the weekend. If the nurse is unable to manage the medical issue for the call, the call will be forwarded to the physician to return your call.
